Years of Service:3.5Classification: A&P
I also used to work for: As a student…..Department of Food Science and Technology
Why I joined USAC:
It was an opportunity to be more involved in the University and its functions and to help advocate for staff. It was a great opportunity to learn more about the University and networking with others within.
Why staff should join USAC:
Staff should consider joining USAC to continue working towards the mission of the University and making a difference to themselves and those around them. It also will allow them to broaden their skill set and knowledge of the university and its functions.
My greatest sense of accomplishment on USAC so far is:
I just was selected, so that is an accomplishment in itself.
Hobbies:
Traveling first and foremost, but I love to bike ride, read, happy hours, road trips and did I mention traveling?
My favorite restaurant around campus is:
I love North Star in the Short North. Otherwise one can never go wrong with Adriatico’s Pizza
My favorite OSU sport is:
I feel compelled to say football or bad things could happen to me!
I think the greatest challenge facing OSU in the future is:
I think one of the greatest challenges OSU will face is to continue to grow our international involvement to become a gold star globally in academia and research, whether that is through higher level recruitment in education and research or growing our international student base. I also think developing a cost effective tuition rate for students will be a challenge as costs continue to rise all the while trying to give potential and current the best opportunities and education possible.
I think the greatest strengths at OSU are:
Great leadership is definitely a big strength at OSU. Commitment of leadership to bring the university departments together to work as one is definitely a strength
Outside of my normal position, I serve OSU and my community by:
I am currently a member of the OSU GLBT Alumni group and outside of the work, I volunteer with a studies abroad organization.
