OSU Experience

Years of Service:12
Classification: CCS
I also used to work for: OSU Extension, Northwest District Office, Findlay, Ohio

Why I joined USAC:

I wanted to have an active role at OSU. I prefer to not have the attitude that OSU owes me something. I wanted to be able to give back to OSU for the great benefits I receive as an employee. What better way to make a difference for staff than to be a part of USAC?

Why staff should join USAC:

You are able to meet great people, learn how the university works, and really feel like you are a part of something bigger.

My greatest sense of accomplishment on USAC so far is:

Since this is my first year, I will let you know next year!

Hobbies:

Traveling, reading, and gardening. I also own a pet sitting business, Happy Pet Sitting Service where I visit animals in their own homes while their families are away.

My favorite restaurant around campus is:

Adriatico’s – best pizza in Columbus!

My favorite OSU sport is:

Football ~ GO BUCKS!

I think the greatest challenge facing OSU in the future is:

I believe the cost of insurance benefits is an issue that the university will have to deal with on a continual basis.

I think the greatest strengths at OSU are:

The importance President Gee is stressing in trying to make everyone feel like they have a say in what they like and/or dislike about their jobs and the university as a whole by having the staff complete an online survey. President Gee will look at the compiled data from the staff survey and make changes accordingly. I think with President Gee wanting OSU to be one of the best places to work in the United States says a lot.

Outside of my normal position, I serve OSU and my community by:
