Why I joined USAC:
USAC is a great way to become more involved on campus while collaborating with colleagues I normally wouldn’t have the opportunity to. Knowing that my role is to represent the university staff is exciting and a wonderful challenge. Also, USAC provides the opportunity to gain knowledge of how the university operates and how decisions are made. It’s great knowing that I can give input on campus policies, procedures and events.
Why staff should join USAC:
It’s a wonderful way to meet staff from across campus and learn how the university operates.
My greatest sense of accomplishment on USAC so far is:
Helping to coordinate and participant in events including the Pep Rally and the Hidden Benefits Fair. Learning about the various university committees that exist and serving as a mentor to a new USAC member have all been rewarding.
Hobbies:
I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family. I also love to eat :O) my weaknesses are Mexican food and sweets!! When it’s warm and sunny I love being outside and relaxing.
My favorite restaurant around campus is:
Hmmm, I have multiple…The Happy Greek, Panera, Adriatico’s, Chipotle, The Rusty Bucket.
My favorite OSU sport is:

I think the greatest challenge facing OSU in the future is:
With the economy as it is today a challenge may be providing reassurance to staff regarding their job security.
I think the greatest strengths at OSU are:
The sense of community and OSU pride that exists across campus. OSU also offers wonderful programs and activities across campus for staff and faculty.
Outside of my normal position, I serve OSU and my community by:
At OSU I serve as co-chair for Spring Career Day (campus-wide career fair for students); and on the Membership Services Team and as Website Coordinator for the University Career Services Committee (UCSC). Outside of OSU I’m involved with activities at church that effect my community and I’m a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
