Governance Subcommittee
Governance's primary responsibility is oversight of the USAC Bylaws. Governance reviews the existing bylaws, recommends and discusses proposed changes, writes amendments for consideration, and interprets the bylaws as necessary.
Governance also appoints current and former USAC members to various university committees and Senate committees. Members of these committees are required to submit meeting reports which Governance reviews, follows-up with the member if there are questions, and disseminates the reports to USAC members.
2007 - 2008 Goals
- Revise the current University/Senate Committee Report Form to collect better and more pertinent staff related information.
- Work with members of university/Senate committees to increase the number of reports submitted.
- For each committee create a timeline of appointment deadlines and to whom the appointments need to be made.
- Review the appointment process for university/Senate committees to assure the best possible USAC members serves on the appropriate committee.
