What is your official job title at Ohio State?  Senior Academic Program Services Specialist

What department / college / unit do you work in? Academic Affairs/College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences

How long have you worked at Ohio State? 6 years

In your own words, describe your job here at Ohio State. I have the honor of creating the master schedule of classes for all CFAES Wooster campus undergraduate students.  I also serve as our campus Transfer Credit Coordinator, and Director of Orientation.  Along with my primary roles, I assist with curriculum management, and various student academic needs.

What do you love most about Ohio State? I love the community and unity of Ohio State. I love knowing that if I shout “OH!” somewhere not far away, I’m going to hear someone yell back “IO!”

What is your favorite memory as a staff member at Ohio State? Every year student life allows me to organize a campus wide Trick or Treat trail, because I deeply love candy, costumes, and shenanigans. My favorite memory is the first year of the trail. I made a dress entirely out of book pages and all of the staff taking part in the event dressed up as well. The memory of watching faculty, staff, and students dressed in costumes, excited to find each trail stop and get bags of treats always makes me smile.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Outside of work I run a small non-profit in Orrville that provides 200+ free hot meals to anyone in need on Thursday afternoons. I love baking, painting, ceramics, and sewing as well as spending time with my dog Cooper Von Schmooperton and my husband Sean (who I met on move in day at the OSU Mansfield campus 20 years ago).

What is something that most people don’t know about you? I designed one of the art tiles in Downtown Wooster that features the Wooster Campus, Ohio State ATI welcome sign.

What is your favorite quote, TV show, movie, or book? “Betsie, there’s no way even God can make me grateful for a flea.” – Corrie Ten Boom / The Hiding Place

Preferred pronouns: She/Her
