“Alex has truly embodied the values of excellence & impact as well as diversity & innovation in her current role. As an academic counselor and student athlete engagement coordinator in the Student Athlete Support Services Office, Alex has expanded the reach of the office to include more diverse identities and activities for student athletes outside of their sport. Alex started the first LGBTQ+ student athlete organization in Ohio State Athletics history and the group has thrived under her leadership. Alex provides a unique perspective to all seeking to work with student athletes in reminding everyone that they are more than just the sport they choose to play. Her impact can be seen in how much her students enjoy her presence and seek out her counsel. She leads with grace, creativity and kindness!”
