Stuff the Backpack Virtual Fundraiser

USAC is participating in NBC4’s Stuff the Backpack school drive to benefit the students of Columbus City Schools and we need your help! This year NBC4 is going 100% virtual in response to the coronavirus pandemic.  The virtual back to school drive allows for a safe donation experience, with a larger focus on secure online donations to help local students succeed.  This announcement comes after months of working with teachers, districts and staff on the best way to support local students and move forward in the era of COVID-19. Donations can be submitted via and will be accepted through the end of August.

Every $10 donation provides one student with a packet of essential supplies:

Supplies for Grades K-5:
Blunt scissors
Glue stick
Pocket Folders
Wide Ruled Paper
Supplies for Grades 6-12:
Colored Pencils
Pocket Folders
Spiral Notebooks

All donations are 100% tax-deductible through NBC4’s Stuff the Backpack fiscal sponsor, the United Way of Central Ohio.

If you have any questions regarding the virtual drive, please contact USAC’s Outreach and Engagement Chair, Lauren Gannon Evans at

We appreciate your support while as a land-grant institution, we partner with our local community!
