Dr. Leo Taylor
Dr. Leo Taylor is a DEI educator and consultant in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. He develops, facilitates, and hosts workshops and other DEI-related programs for the college, university, and broader community. His approach to leadership is centered on modeling vulnerability and radical authenticity, and he utilizes storytelling in his programs to help others feel personally connected to social justice work.
Dr. Taylor received his B.S. and M.S. from Ball State University and his PhD from Cornell University. He has delivered hundreds of workshops, webinars, conference presentations, guest lectures, and keynote addresses to thousands of participants on a variety of DEI topics with a specialization in queer and transgender cultural competencies. He is passionate about issues affecting women as well as people who are LGBTQ+, BIPOC, living with HIV, and neurodivergent. In addition to his professional work, Leo has served as a life coach, mentor, and support group facilitator for graduate students and people exploring their gender identity.
