Dr. Andre Brown
Dr. Andre Brown is a passionate advocate for educational equity and staff development, currently serving as the Assistant Dean for Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Justice. With a career dedicated to managing and creating programs that support students' academic, personal, and cultural growth, Dr. Brown has made significant contributions to fostering an inclusive educational environment. In his previous role, Dr. Brown led the Frank W. Hale, Jr. Black Cultural Center, where he spearheaded university-wide initiatives to enhance engagement in culturally related programs and events. Dr. Brown has held numerous roles at Arizona State University, Auburn University, the University of Missouri, and the University of Central Missouri. His extensive experience includes serving on several key committees, such as the University Conduct Board, the University Commencement Advisory Committee, the University Public Safety Committee, and the NPHC Project Excellence Committee.
Dr. Brown earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in 2014 from the University of Missouri, where his research focused on the patterns of racial identity development in Black men within historically Black Greek-lettered fraternities. He also holds a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Central Missouri.
