Jeannie Simmons

Jeannie serves as the Director of Global Education in the Office of International Affairs. Since joining Ohio State in 2021, she has held multiple roles in education abroad and has been dedicated to expanding global learning opportunities for students. 

In her current role, Jeannie leads institution-wide initiatives that strengthen global engagement and, in partnership with academic units, create diverse learning experiences. 

She is passionate about the transformative impact of study abroad and enjoys seeing students grow in confidence, adaptability, and global awareness as they prepare to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world Jeannie firmly believes that ALL Buckeye students can benefit from studying abroad and is inspired by the partnerships and learning that emerge through cross-campus collaboration. 

Outside of work, Jeannie enjoys practicing yoga, reading, spending time with friends in her Italian Village neighborhood and traveling internationally with her husband.
