Penny Barkhurst

Penny Barkhurst is the Director of Engagement and Alumni Relations for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University. In her role within Advancement, she leads the college’s alumni engagement strategy, manages a dynamic team, and oversees the CFAES Alumni Society. She collaborates across departments to align engagement efforts with university goals, enhance alumni communications, and foster lifelong connections among students, alumni, and friends of the college and university. Since joining Ohio State in 2015, Penny has held previous roles in the Department of Recreational Sports, the Ohio State University Alumni Association, and the College of Arts and Sciences.
Outside of work, Penny enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. In her free time, she makes jewelry, listens to investigative podcasts, reads, and watches documentaries.
