Dr. Qiana Perrean Smith

“Dr. Smith's kindness, flexibility, and ability to create a culture which is caring and positive is an exemplar way to run a large department.” -Barb Kefalas Dr. Smith provides leadership to over 90 fulltime and graduate staff and 700 student staff members in housing and residence education who are responsible for the supporting and housing over 16,000 students on four campuses. Dr. Smith earned a BS in sociology from Central Michigan University and both a MA in student affairs administration and a PhD in higher, adult, and lifelong education from Michigan State University.
